Samantha Duncan is an IBCLC certified lactation consultant and pediatric nurse practitioner dedicated to helping parents of infants and young children reach their breastfeeding goals. With her IBCLC certification and expertise, she provides comprehensive lactation services to families in the Central & Metrowest Massachusetts area.

Experience

Sam has worked helping newborns and breastfeeding parents in a variety of settings for over 10 years. She first worked as a nurse in a mother-baby unit. Next, she worked as a nurse practitioner in a pediatric primary care office, where she enjoyed going above and beyond to help breastfeeding dyads overcome their challenges. Most recently, she has been back in a mother-baby unit as a newborn NP hospitalist. This role has allowed her to increase her hands on experience offering breastfeeding support and lead her to obtaining her IBCLC.

Personal Experience

Sam breastfed her own children, each for over a year. With all of her breastfeeding knowledge and experience teaching, she still found challenges and looked for support in lactation consultants. She has personal experience with infants with milk protein allergy, pumping and milk storage, and challenges transitioning infants from breast to bottle. She believes her personal and professional experience will allow her to help you reach your goals.

Personalized visit with the lactation consultant to focus on the needs of parent and baby. This visit includes a written care plan and physician report, as well as 2 weeks of follow up via secure emailing. Up to 2 hours.
